East Central Alberta Catholic Schools Division Welcomes Two New Modular Classrooms for St. Jerome's School in Vermilion
WAINWRIGHT, AB — The East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division is thrilled to announce that Alberta Education and Childcare has approved two new modular classrooms for St. Jerome's School in Vermilion. The Division extends its sincere gratitude to Alberta Education and Childcare for recognizing the school's urgent need for additional student spaces through the 2026/27 Modular Classroom Program.
"We are incredibly grateful to Alberta Education and Childcare for their continued investment in our students and school communities," said Derek Collins, Board Chair of the East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division. "This approval reflects the province's commitment to ensuring that every child has access to quality learning spaces, and we are proud to see that commitment extended to St. Jerome's School in Vermilion."
"These two new modular classrooms will have a direct and positive impact on the learning experience for our students and staff at St. Jerome's," said Jim Taplin, Superintendent of the East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division. "We look forward to working with Alberta Infrastructure to bring this project to life and to providing our students with the welcoming, modern spaces they need to thrive."
The approved modular classrooms will be procured by Alberta Infrastructure. The Division looks forward to working closely with the province to ensure the timely completion of this project and to welcoming students into these new spaces as soon as possible.
