PreKindergarten Programming

Welcome to East Central Catholic Little Steps Program!

We are a learning based program that focuses on play and socialization appropriate for ages 3-5.  We have seasonal themes throughout the year as well as age specific topics.  The three-year-olds learn about colours, shapes, numbers and nursery rhymes over the course of the year.  Four-year-olds learn about letter and number recognition and formation.

Blessed Sacrament School (Wainwright) and Christ-King Catholic School (Stettler) have Little Steps Pre-School programs for children ages 3 and 4 held in their schools. Children in both schools will participate in a writing readiness program called Learning Without Tears. Get Set for School is a flexible, play-based curriculum that offers a full pre-writing program and materials that build critical skills like early math and literacy. It includes three programs designed to prepare children for school: Readiness & Writing, Language & Literacy, and Numbers & Math.

Vermilion and Area Brighter Beginnings offers a four part program consisting of home visitations (0-6 yrs), centre based private preschool (St. Jerome's School), community outreaches, and a summer program. For more information contact [email protected] or call 780-853-6633.
