Theresetta School Principal Announcement - Castor

Theresetta Principal

Amberly was born and raised North of Castor on her family's farm. She attended Theresetta as a student herself from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 9.

Amberly graduated from The University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education. Her teaching career started with Edmonton Catholic where she taught various elementary levels at Our Lady of Victories, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and Ben Calf Robe-St. Clare. In 2020, Amberly had the opportunity to teach in Northern Alberta at John D’Or Prairie School near Fort Vermillion. During her years at Ben Calf Robe-St. Clare and John D’Or Prairie, Amberly developed a deeper understanding and respect for First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture. In 2021 she moved back to Castor and began teaching 5/6 at Theresetta, and served as the school's faith coach.

Amberly has a passion for community involvement. She enjoys being involved in her school community through coaching various sports teams and leading different events. In the winter, she can be found acting as a volunteer ski patrol out at the Valley Ski Hill near Alliance.

In her free time, Amberly enjoys camping, boating, skiing, snowshoeing, and spending time with her family. She is very excited to be beginning her administrational journey at a school that she truly values and believes in. Amberly looks forward to continuing to serve the community of Castor, and the East Central Catholic School Division in the years to come.
