Director of Teaching Quality and Staff Development

August 9th, 2021

East Central Alberta Catholic School Division is pleased to welcome Michele Revoy as the new Director of Teaching Quality and Staff Development. Michele's wealth of experience and expertise comes from 30+ years of teaching and administrative leadership in Catholic school divisions.

Michele is a University of Alberta graduate who began her teaching career in Fort McMurray. She spent 11 years serving the Fort McMurray Catholic School Division and four of those years as the Mathematics department head at Father Mercredi High School. Michele then took on a school leadership position in Lakeland Catholic located in Bonnyville. She served as a principal in three different schools during her tenure with the school division.

Michele's administrative experience allowed her to lead and collaborate with staff, students, and community stakeholders on various projects throughout her career. For example, Michele collaborated with staff and key stakeholders to implement multiple provincial, division, and school educational initiatives such as Professional Learning Communities, High School Redesign,
Tribes Learning Communities, Moral Intelligence, Assessment For Learning, Inspiring Education - MindsOn Learning One-To-One Project, Differentiated Instruction, and Universal Design For Learning. The implementation of these projects contributed to the school division being recognized by the Alberta Government with two Premier’s Awards of Excellence.

Michele’s work in Catholic education has also been recognized by the Council of Catholic School Superintendents Association (CCSSA) where she was awarded the Excellence In Catholic Leadership Award. She is passionate about developing and supporting faith-based learning environments that are student-centred and provide various opportunities for staff and students to grow and excel. Michele is excited to embark on this new challenge and is looking forward to learning and growing with school leadership teams, teachers, support staff, students, and parents of East Central Catholic Schools.

We are looking forward to embracing Michele’s passion, gifts, and talents to support quality Catholic education in East Central Alberta Catholic Schools.
