                When  you are ready to start exploring ways to finance your education, please stop in and talk to Mrs.Pochylko. She will help you explore scholarships and bursaries that are relevant to your individual circumstances, help you with applications forms, and gathering the information needed to apply. She can also help you with questions about student aid and budgeting for post-secondary.

 

Alexander Rutherford High School Achievement Scholarship

This scholarship was named in honour of Alexander Rutherford, who had the distinction of being Alberta’s first Premier and Minister of Education. He was known for his strong support of public education, particularly the University of Alberta and his active involvement in community affairs.

Purpose

To recognize and reward academic achievement of senior high school students and encourage them to pursue post-secondary studies.

Value

Up to $2,500

Alexander Rutherford Scholarship Application
The 2021-22 Alexander Rutherford Scholarship application is currently unavailable.
Check back in early August for the 2022-23 online application. Students who had a work in progress application, and did not submit it will need to reapply when the new application is available in early August.

Eligibility

Apply once your official high school transcript marks are available and when you are enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies. Requirements for high school transcript marks will vary.
