Bully Awareness

This year’s Bullying Awareness Week is November 16‑20, with the theme “Where to Turn.” There is no place for bullying in our schools, and we encourage our students, staff and families to continue to be proactive in preventing bullying, promoting healthy relationships and supporting those impacted by this harmful behaviour—which can have a significant and lasting impact on a person’s well-being.

Staff, students or parents who require help or information regarding bullying or abuse can call trained staff at any time of day, or chat online from noon to 8:00 p.m. at alberta.ca/bullying-find-supports.aspx. The Bullying Helpline (1‑888‑456‑2323) is available 24 hours, 7 days a week, and offers help in more than 170 languages. Online chats and calls to the helpline are anonymous.
